Our departments
Six departments make up the business. Each page shows the purpose, the people, the measures that matter and the systems the team works in.
Veterinary Clinic
Delivers general practice veterinary care to private clients and to shelter animals, including consultations, surgery, imaging, pathology, hospitalisation and after-hours emergency triage from the Shepparton clinic.
Shelter and Adoptions
Receives, houses, assesses and rehomes surrendered and stray companion animals in line with the shelter code of practice, and coordinates foster carers and adoption events across the region.
Boarding and Grooming
Runs the boarding kennels, cattery and grooming salon at the Echuca region centre, managing bookings, check-in health checks, feeding and medication plans, enrichment and grooming services for private clients.
Animal Management Services
Delivers the contracted animal management service for Wirralong Shire Council, including stray collection, impounding, reclaim processing, seizure support, community education and compliance advice under domestic animal legislation.
Behaviour and Training
Assesses the behaviour of shelter animals, designs enrichment and behaviour modification plans, advises adopters and private clients, and runs group training classes using reward-based methods.
Business Support
Provides finance, people, WHS, volunteer coordination, facilities, IT and document control for all three sites, and runs the monthly welfare and safety review that tracks incidents and corrective actions to closure.
